Description of the Job:

Clean the plant and the heavy-duty fitter. To support our site operations and wash plant in Kirkby, Kealshore is looking for a Heavy Duty Fitter with the necessary skills and dependability. This practical position entails maintaining and repairing large equipment, such as our aggregate wash plant, loading shovels, and excavators. Strong mechanical abilities and a proactive approach to site performance and uptime are ideal.

Types of Jobs:

Permanent, Full-Time

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Saturday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm (if necessary)

To do maintenance, etc., more hours might be required.

Principal Tasks & Accountabilities:

• Maintain heavy plant equipment (excavators, shovels, and wash plants) both proactively and reactively.
• Identify and fix electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
• To guarantee safe and efficient operation, inspect and maintain the aggregate wash plant.
• To maximise uptime, do preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Track wash plant performance and make necessary adjustments to procedures to guarantee high-quality output.
• Accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
• Collaborate with the management group, plant operators, and other fitters.
• Make sure that every task is completed in accordance with Kealshore’s health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Reliability, enthusiasm, and self-motivation are essential.
• Capable of working both individually and together.
• The ability to commute to our Kirkby location (L33 4XZ) is a must.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Rudimentary computer skills for reporting and data entry.
• Adaptable enough to work weekends and overtime in response to operational demands.
• It is very desirable to have prior expertise maintaining aggregate wash plants.
• An awareness of industrial health and safety regulations.
