Overview

Ward 33 Acute Stroke Unit is seeking a Band 2 Health Care Assistant. Candidates should be eager to learn, kind, supportive to patients, families and colleagues and a positive team member. This Trust offers full support in settling into your new role, comprehensive training, an induction period and a mentor to guide your learning and development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in meeting their hygiene needs and carry out all aspects of personal care and grooming (including emptying catheter bags).
  • Assist in the prevention of pressure sore development as directed by the Registered Nurse in conjunction with the patient’s plan of care.
  • Enable patients to maintain or improve their mobility by use of exercise and mobility appliances as directed by individual care plans.
  • Undertake a range of clerical duties in the absence of or in support of the Ward Clerk to ensure a smooth running service.
Qualifications

You must have previous experience working in Healthcare/Social Care. A completed application form demonstrating how you meet the person specification for the post will be required for shortlisting. Only candidates who provide a fully completed application form will be considered.
