A healthcare provider Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to provide essential support to patients in a mental health setting. The role involves direct care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring high-quality care and support. Candidates must have an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience. Successful applicants will join a multidisciplinary team, working in shifts to promote recovery for service users. The salary ranges from £24,937 to £26,598 annually, depending on experience.

You will be responsible for providing quality interventions and support to our patients; this will take the form of 1:1s, supporting with running groups aimed at empowering people, helping patients access the community, engaging in meaningful activity and supporting with personal care tasks in hospital.
You must be able to communicate in a sensitive manner. You will be an integral part of the multi‑disciplinary team. Longreach House has a strong multidisciplinary team including healthcare assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, social inclusion workers, clinical psychology and psychiatry. Our focus, however, is on the service user and they are at the heart of the team.
The post will involve working shifts across the 24‑hour clock including weekends and nights.

To support the delivery of care needs by carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care under the supervision of a registered nurse. To contribute to the evaluation of programmes of care by reporting to the clinical supervisor.
As part of a team, provide high quality mental health care to the service users to promote recovery. To do all the above in a manner that maintains safety for all. To assist in service and good practice developments.
