Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Frailty Same Day Emergency Care department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn. You will be a valued member of our team, focusing on keeping patients at the centre of all we do and providing high quality care. We are looking for individuals who uphold our trust values to contribute to making patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their stay. You will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the unit environment. Our aim is to provide patients with the highest quality of personal care and support while they are in hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Work under delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Support the delivery of high quality care and patient experience.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs of the unit environment.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team as well as make decisions autonomously.
  • Be willing to undertake further training and mandatory updates as deemed necessary.
  • Previous experience of working within a care environment or the NHS is desirable but not essential, as you will be supported whilst learning the role.
Training and Induction
  • Attend the GROW Programme (QEHKL enhanced induction programme), including mandatory training for clinical staff and the Caring with Kindness programme, with practical sessions to practice new skills before starting the role.
  • Comprehensive induction programme and support to complete the Care Certificate.
