We are currently expanding our team and are seeking compassionate, reliable Health Care Assistants to join our supportive and friendly workforce. We are actively recruiting in Ballymena, Larne, Antrim and Whiteabbey

As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under the guidance of nursing staff to assist patients with their daily needs, ensuring care is delivered safely, respectfully, and in a person-centred manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
  • Support mobility and safe movement of patients around the facility
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Encourage independence by helping with daily tasks
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider care team
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
  • Follow infection control procedures and safeguarding policies
  • Accurately update patient records under supervision
  • Support clinical tasks as trained and delegated
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a care setting within the last 5 years
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High levels of reliability and professionalism
  • Right to work in the UK
  • NISCC registration
