Healthcare Assistant – Cookham

Immediate Start | Full-Time or Part-Time | Long-Term Placement
Pay: £85 – £110 per day

Are you passionate about providing care and support to individuals with additional needs? A welcoming school in Cookham is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their team immediately.

This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, patient, and committed to promoting wellbeing and independence for pupils with medical or complex needs.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and medical support to pupils with healthcare plans
  • Assist with mobility, feeding, and other daily needs in a safe and dignified manner
  • Monitor and record health-related information, reporting concerns promptly
  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure pupils’ needs are met
  • Promote inclusion and encourage participation in learning and social activities
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a care or healthcare setting (school experience desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety procedures
  • Empathetic, calm, and reliable approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., first aid, manual handling)
