Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated health visitor to provide strong clinical and operational leadership within Hillingdon’s 0–19 Service. As Team Lead for the Health Visiting Service you will play a key role in shaping high-quality, family-centred services, supporting a skilled multidisciplinary team, and ensuring safe, effective delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. This role is ideal for a dynamic practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families across the community.

In order to be eligible for this post, applicants must be a qualified Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) - Health Visiting.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and operational management of the 0–19 Health Visiting team.
  • Support clinical supervision, workload management and safe, effective practice across the service.
  • Coordinate service delivery in line with local needs, national guidance and safeguarding requirements.
  • Lead staff recruitment, support performance management and enable continuous professional development.
  • Build strong working relationships with GPs, Local Authority, Family Hubs, Public Health and Voluntary Sectors.
  • Ensure compliance with CNWL policies, clinical governance standards and risk management processes.
