A leading bakery company in Bolton is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to promote a culture of safety and accountability. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience, a NEBOSH certificate, and strong interpersonal skills. This full-time role involves coaching, compliance support, and implementing health and safety strategies across the organization. Do to an internal move, we have a vacancy for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our Bolton based HSE team.
Safety is our number one priority and as part of the HSE team you will need an engaging approach to coach and influence colleagues across the business to understand their accountability and responsibility for HSE.
Key to the role will also be the ability to work cross-functionally to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels to support the HSE agenda and to implement continuous improvement. With your technical expertise and experience you will also need to provide timely, accurate and business-led advice and guidance to colleagues across Manufacturing and Distribution.
No day is the same as an HSE professional, and the bakery and depots are fast paced. You’ll need to prioritise your workload which will typically include supporting the business with risk assessments, ensuring investigations establish root cause and that effective corrective actions are put in place, supporting the training team, completing inspections and audits, monitoring performance data and generating reports.
This role will occasionally require travel to our Squires Gate depot in Blackpool to provide support as needed.
