Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator based in Aston Clinton. The role involves overseeing day-to-day health and safety management in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have a manufacturing background, NEBOSH certification, and strong experience with key health and safety regulations. This position offers an hourly rate of £25-£35 outside IR35, with a contract length of up to 6 months and shifts from Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• NEBOSH general certification is required.
• Membership in IOSH or working towards it is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support health and safety on a day-to-day basis in a manufacturing environment.
• Maintain and improve health and safety management systems.
• Ensure compliance with key regulations including COSHH and PUWER.
• Conduct gap analyses and implement improvements.
• Support ISO standards using QMS effectively.

Ideal candidate background: Fast paced manufacturing environment - Ideally food, cosmetics, pharma or FMCG

Health & Safety Coordinator role & responsibilities

• Support the Health & Safety on day-to-day basis in a manufacturing environment
• Maintain and improve H&S management systems (CDM background beneficial)
• Ensure compliance with key regulations including COSHH, PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, and DSEAR
• Conduct gap analyses, implement improvements
• Support ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) using QMS effectively
• Fire and risk assessments; building safety
• Incident reporting & fire safety
• Delivery H&s induction training

Health & Safety Coordinator Experience

• Candidates must come from Manufacturing/engineering background
• NEBOSH general
• IOSH Member or working towards would be advantageous
• Strong auditing experience to ISO standards
• Must have strong experience with COSHH, PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, DSEAR etc.
