Out client is a multi‑faceted company providing professional asbestos, water management and occupational hygiene services to a diverse client base. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and hardworking Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Guildford area. The ideal candidate will come from a technical occupational hygiene/water hygiene/asbestos background, will hold the NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification and will be experienced in carrying out risk assessment duties. Applications from Woking, Aldershot, Cranleigh, Leatherhead and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing asbestos/legionella background.
• Requisite NEBOSH – CMIOSH certificates; health & safety qualifications are essential.
• Practical working experience within industries such as asbestos, legionella, fire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise own workload and presentations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health & safety legislation, policies & procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including databases.
• Extensive travelling required; must have a flexible attitude.

Main Responsibilities

• Attend sites to carry out inspections relating to the health & safety performance of the teams.
• Undertake health & safety risk assessments and address all arising issues.
• Carry out health & safety, staff and compliance audits.
• Provide technical support to the company’s clients.
• Produce comprehensive audit, health & safety and environmental reports.
• Conduct safety training courses.
