Our well‑regarded client is a major name within the health and safety consultancy sector and is currently seeking an experienced, accredited and knowledgeable Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Dartford area. The ideal candidate will be a chartered member of IOSH (CMIOSH) and hold the NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification. Applications are welcome from Bromley, Orpington, Sevenoaks, Grays and the surrounding areas.

Job Description

The role involves conducting health and safety inspections, risk assessments, audits and providing technical support to clients. The successful candidate will be expected to produce comprehensive audit, health and safety, and environmental reports, and to conduct safety training courses.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing asbestos/legionella background.
  • Relevant NEBOSH – CMIOSH certificates; health and safety qualifications are essential.
  • Practical working experience in asbestos, legionella, fire or related industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise own workload and prepare presentations.
  • Fully conversant with health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package – Database.
  • Extensive travelling required; must be flexible and willing to travel.
  • Knowledge of CCP classifications (p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 and s301) is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
  • Attend sites to carry out inspections related to health and safety performance.
  • Undertake health and safety risk assessments and manage arising issues.
  • Conduct health and safety, staff and compliance audits.
  • Provide technical support to the company’s clients.
  • Produce comprehensive audit, health and safety, and environmental reports.
  • Conduct safety training courses.
