What you'll do
  • Oversee and verify compliance with Health & Safety regulations across all departments
  • Prepare and regularly review risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures
  • Attend monthly meetings and present relevant Health & Safety data
  • Assist on investigations of incidents, and near misses; compile reports and suggest corrective actions
  • Ensure all health and safety documentation is up to date, including policies, procedures, and audit records
  • Maintain records of safety-related incidents and produce statistics for management
  • Support the development and implementation of emergency procedures and evacuation plans
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practice
What you need to succeed
  • A degree in Environmental Health and Safety preferred OR a degree and 2 years relevant experience OR 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience within a similar H&S role
  • Understanding of HSE legislation and regulations
  • Experience with RAMS, auditing, reporting
  • Good communication skills
  • IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
Desirable Criteria
  • IOSH Membership
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH) preferred
  • Additional H&S certifications preferred
  • Full clean driving license
