Job summary

A leading health and safety consultancy in Greater London is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to enhance HSE processes across the region. You will implement policies, conduct inspections, and liaise with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have experience in a similar role, possess a NEBOSH General Certificate, and be an IOSH member. Qualifications

• Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015 and ISO management systems.

Job description

The Health, Safety and Environment Advisor is responsible for helping to drive forward effective health, safety & environmental (HSE) processes and systems in London and the South East.

What You'll be Doing

Business Support

• Implementing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
• Engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health, safety and environmental related enquiries.
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
• Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.

Technical

• Undertake site audits, inspections, risk assessments and method statements.
• Attend design, client and site meetings to give advice and discuss H&S.
• Have a strong safety presence on projects.
• Provide support, guidance and advise on all H&S matters.

A little about you

• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a construction or rail or facilities setting, or a related industry.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification.
• IOSH membership at Associate level or above.
• Contractor management experience.
• CDM regulations 2015.
• Experience/knowledge of the ISO management systems.
• Strong communication skills with experience engaging colleagues at all levels.
