A regional health trust is seeking a motivated individual to join their 0-19 Health Improvement Team in Greater London. The role focuses on supporting families with infant feeding and promoting healthy lifestyles among young children. The ideal candidate will have qualifications in health promotion, knowledge of infant feeding, and experience working in diverse communities. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Redbridge 0-19 Health Improvement Team - working primarily with 0-1yrs, supporting families with their feeding journey. You may be required to support the Healthy Weight/Healthy Lifestyle team with things such as Introduction to Solids, Healthy Weight sessions, National Child Measurement Programme.
The successful candidate will be working across the borough of Redbridge, supporting a diverse population. There will be close links with the Health visiting and School Nursing team, as well as children's centres, midwives, GPs, children's social care and the wider NELFT health teams.
To work as a member of the 0-19 Universal Health team. Provide a comprehensive, effective and culturally sensitive service to clients delivering the Healthy Child Programme.
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941) pro rata for part time staff.
