A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking passionate Health Care Support Workers to assist in providing care to adults within mental health wards. Candidates must have NVQ level 3 in health and social care or relevant experience. The role involves direct support to patients, clerical tasks, and rotation between day and night shifts. We have a number of opportunities on Sovereign Unit for Health Care Support Workers who are passionate about caring for adults in their later life years and adults of a working age.
We are keen to promote high quality services to the service users within in our Inpatient Wards and fully embrace the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust values within our ethos. As such, we are looking for keen, dependable, caring and compassionate candidates, who are committed to high quality healthcare provision. Knowledge of working within mental health is essential. You will be expected to assist and support the patients under the guidance of qualified staff in order to promote wellbeing, physical health needs and support through to discharge. You will be supported by the team and manager and encouraged to develop your skills within the care environment.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
You will need to have an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, a diploma in health and social care diploma or relevant experience to apply for this role.The post holder will be a member of a ward team and will provide support and assistance to the professionally qualified staff on the ward/department. Responsibilities will include direct nursing care, clerical, cleaning and ancillary duties.

We deliver a 24 hour/7 day service and post holders will be required to rotate between day and night shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays.
