We have a number of opportunities across Wigan and Leigh for Health Care Support Workers to join our established teams at Atherleigh Park Hospital. The current vacancies are across our Adults of a working age wards both male and female and our Later Life Ward. We are keen to promote high quality services to the service users within in our Inpatient Wards and fully embrace the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust values within our ethos. As such, we are looking for keen, dependable, caring and compassionate candidates, who are committed to high quality healthcare provision. Knowledge and previous experience of working within mental health is essential. You will be expected to assist and support the patients under the guidance of qualified staff in order to promote recovery and well-being. You will be supported by the team and manager and encouraged to develop your skills within the care environment.
Please note: This position is not eligible for sponsorship at the entry point of Band 3.
The post holder will be a member of a ward team and will provide support and assistance to the professionally qualified staff on the ward/department. Responsibilities will include direct nursing care, clerical, cleaning and ancillary duties.

We deliver a 24 hour/7 day service and post holders will be required to rotate between day and night shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays.
