A prominent healthcare provider in Greater Manchester seeks motivated Clinical Support Workers to ensure excellent care standards in a dynamic team setting. This role offers opportunities for developing nursing skills while supporting a diverse patient population. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude. The starting salary is £24,937, with comprehensive training provided. Join a team dedicated to making a difference in patient care and benefit from a supportive work environment.
As a large NHS trust, we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and are always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values – care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team. In return, we offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA gives you more challenges and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work‑life balance.
We require enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to play an important role dedicated to ensuring excellent standards of care to our patients on our General and colorectal ward. Working within a team of highly skilled and motivated staff where patient focus is our priority, you will help make the patient, family and carer experience as positive as possible. Clinical Support Workers play a vital role in line with nurses to deliver excellent care to our patients with broad and varied health conditions. The job is both exciting and challenging, where team working is essential and initiative is paramount. Excellent communication, confidence and compassion are essential. Experience in healthcare is an advantage but not essential; successful candidates will take part in a care certificate course – developing basic nursing skills before progressing to extended competencies such as obtaining and accurately recording blood pressure, venepuncture and ECGs.
As per Agenda for Change, if you are new to the NHS your starting salary would be £24,937 (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1 April 2025 in line with National Living Wage requirements). This salary point is below the new minimum threshold and therefore not eligible for sponsorship. For further information please check the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook.
The NCA is proud to serve a diverse population and is committed to delivering inclusive, accessible care. We value individuality and aim to build a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Applications are welcomed from individuals of all backgrounds, identities and beliefs, including service and ex‑personnel and their relatives. If you are a member of the armed forces community you may be entitled to a guaranteed interview (subject to essential criteria being met). As a Disability Confident Employer, guaranteed interviews are also available to disabled applicants when essential role requirements have been met. If you require any reasonable adjustments to the application process, please contact [email protected]. Vacancies may close early if sufficient applications are received or if an internal redeployment has been identified.
Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on 9 April 2025 have increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 to £25,000.
