Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital Heart Assessment Team for a Cardiac Rehabilitation Health Care Assistant. This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week), hours to be worked Monday to Friday. The role will be based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital however there may be the need to work across site at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

The role will involve supporting the Nursing and Exercise Team in delivering a comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme focusing on supporting outpatient clinics held within the Department and supporting the Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise programme (gym based).

Main duties of the job

The postholder will provide support and assist the registered Nurse and Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Team in meeting the needs of patients who participate in the cardiac rehabilitation education and exercise programme and will provide support in the outpatient clinics. This will involve accurately undertaking and recording patient observations and supporting the exercise team with the delivery of the exercise programme.
