A multi-academy trust in Hedge End, Southampton is looking for a Health and Safety Officer responsible for ensuring a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH qualification and proven experience in a similar role. Key duties include conducting audits, risk assessments, and developing training programs. Salary ranges from £33,179 to £36,369 annually. This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Health and Safety Officer who has proven experience in an H&S role, a recognised qualification e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent with excellent organisational and communication skills is required to join a well-established multi-academy trust, comprising of three schools, based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.
SALARY: £33,179 - £36,369 per annum (Full-Time) - £16,594 per annum (Part-Time)
LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire (SO30)
JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 04:00pm (full-time) & 3 days a week, 21 hours, 8:30am - 4:00pm (part-time)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST have a Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between Trust sites.

Working as the Health and Safety Officer you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and visitors across all schools within the Trust. You will have the scope to reshape current policies and procedures, introduce new practices and advise the Trust’s most senior leaders.
As you conduct regular audits/inspections, risk assessments and roll out training programmes you will ensure that health and safety is fully embedded in daily activity.
Working as the Health and Safety Officer you will continually refresh your expertise of legislation and best practice and build networks with other external health and safety experts.
