The client:

We are pleased to be resourcing a talented Health & Safety Manager for our valued client, who specialise in Cat A / Cat B commercial office fit outs.

Established in 2015, our client has grown year on year and now boasts a turnover of GBP30m.

Management Accountability

• Direct report to the Managing Director

Desired Qualifications / Accreditations:
  • IOSH
  • NEBOSH
  • SMSTS
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:
  • Audit sites and issue reports
  • Review and address issues highlighted in reports with site teams
  • Manage diaries and coordinate site audits with the Ops senior team and Safety Services to ensure all projects are covered
  • Own the company's health and safety policy and ensure compliance on site
  • Maintain site structure and filing in line with ISO standards
  • Prepare monthly H&S reports for the board
  • Support sites during pre-start meetings, CPP population, and site setup checks
  • Assist with ISO accreditation audits alongside the senior team
  • Contribute to tender H&S elements such as site setup and logistics planning
  • Conduct reactive audits as needed
  • Oversee and initially sign off the PQQ system for supply chain (with assistance at the start)
  • Ensure policies are up to date and coordinate with policy writers
  • Collaborate with safety services on WISE systems
  • Participate in supply chain H&S meetings
  • Liaise with the client's health & safety team on live projects
  • Monitor HSE website for new legislation and updates relevant to construction
