Overview

We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join the Bristol-based Health and Safety department. Our client has a distinguished reputation for health and safety excellence, demonstrated by multiple Gold RoSPA awards and a UKAS-accredited Safety Management System to the OHSAS standard.

Role Purpose

The H&S Advisor will ensure the accurate delivery, recording, and management of health and safety information. Responsibilities include producing, reviewing, and editing health and safety documentation, providing expert advice to employees and project teams, and promoting best practices in health and safety policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide health and safety advice to team members.
  • Develop, review, and approve health and safety documentation.
  • Manage health and safety databases, including subcontractor vetting.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits.
  • Deliver health and safety training sessions.
  • Travel to various project sites across the UK, with overnight stays as required.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills:

  • NEBOSH National or Construction Certificate.

  • Self-motivated team player with good interpersonal skills.
