Job summary

A prominent food company in the UK is seeking a temporary HSEQ professional to cover sickness across sites in Northampton and Daventry. The position requires a minimum of NEBOSH experience in the transport industry and access to personal transport. You will support site leadership, lead safety meetings, and promote a positive safety culture. Details of the role

Temp contract to cover sickness in the Northamptonshire area (unclear at this stage for how long).

The role will be to cover between Northampton (ideally 3 days) and Daventry (ideally 2 days). Fuel expenses considered dependent on which site they will be based on (could be either of the above).

40 hrs a week. Hours of work: 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Support and get engaged with the site leadership teams.
  • Lead or support periodic safety meetings, including HSEQ Committee meetings.
  • Engage proactively with union safety representatives to maintain positive working relationships, address concerns, and support joint safety initiatives.
  • Promptly escape all LTIs and major incidents.
  • Ensure corrective actions are identified, implemented, and verified for effectiveness.
  • Promote HSEQ across the site and influence a positive safety culture.
  • Conduct trend and data analysis to identify risks or patterns.
  • Use systems such as EcoOnline to record incidents, track actions, and maintain documentation.
  • Produce HSEQ reports and performance updates to the regional safety manager.
  • Complete routine inspections and checks.
