Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Administrator to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! As a Health and Safety Administrator you will provide flexible and efficient QHSE administrative support to the department while supporting the site overall by communicating with the first aiders and the health and safety reps on the site.

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,275.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Work with members of the QHSE team to provide a good communications base for the operation and provide excellent customer service
  • Work to agreed team targets and KPI’s including such as accuracy, productivity and cost saving
  • Populate the accident tracker and compile all accident statistics and reports when needed
  • Ensure environmental health and safety requirements are met while complying with H&S policies and standards
  • Support the QHSE Manager when needed with admin, projects and general support where needed

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous Administrative experience, with an understanding of processes and procedures relating to QHSE
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels, with a focus on relationship building
  • Strong IT knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Positive, focussed and flexible approach to work, able to learn and adapt quickly
