Overview

Ysgol Min y Ddol is an inclusive and successful school where pupils thrive and become the best versions of themselves. We provide a safe and happy environment for our pupils and place their wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. The school is Welsh medium and provides for pupils from Cefn Mawr and the surrounding area. Pupils are highly motivated, and the school has a dedicated and caring team of staff who work closely with a committed and active governing body. Outdoor learning is a central part of our learning environment at Ysgol Min y Ddol and we are fortunate to have a wonderful forest school and large outdoor provisions in which our pupils can learn.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a serving Headteacher or an experienced practitioner holding an NPQH qualification to apply for the role of Headteacher. The school starts January 2026 or as soon as possible. Leadership Scale L9 L15.

Responsibilities and Conditions

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a visionary Headteacher with excellent leadership skills with the commitment and drive to maintain, develop and inspire high standards and levels of achievement. The ability to communicate and teach through the medium of Welsh is essential for this post.

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. The Governing Body will consider exercising its rights to appoint the successful candidate at a point in the salary range appropriate to their skills and expertise, in accordance with the STPCD. This post is subject to Education Workforce Council Registration.
