A local council in Ullapool is seeking a Head Teacher for Ullapool Primary School. The position offers a permanent contract with a salary of £73,110 per annum. Candidates must be GTCS registered and may require membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. A relocation package is available for the successful candidate.

After 1 August 2020, Education Authorities can only appoint the following categories of people as permanent Head Teachers: -
1) People who have achieved the Standard for Headship.
2) People appointed as permanent Head Teachers of a public school, a grant-aided school or an independent school on or before 1 August 2020.
A person who has not yet achieved the Standard for Headship may be appointed as a head teacher, provided the appointment does not exceed 30 months.
Prior to confirming appointment, we will require successful candidates to become members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
This position is classified as a regulated role. As such, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history. Specifically, this check will be necessary if you do not meet both of the following criteria:
