Head of Year - Inspiring Leadership Opportunity

Academics are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and highly motivated Head of Year to join a Kent based school to work alongside their committed pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher or pastoral leader who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential - both academically and personally.

As Head of Year, you will play a crucial role in shaping the culture, wellbeing, and progress of a year group. All areas of subject socialisms will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive year‑group identity.
  • Oversee behaviour, attendance, and achievement, working closely with tutors and teaching staff.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and external services.
  • Lead assemblies, coordinate tutor programmes, and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
  • Monitor data and implement interventions to support student progress and wellbeing.
