A prominent UK university is seeking a Head of Timetabling to manage and develop the timetabling process and systems. The role involves strategic leadership within Academic Services and oversight of the student teaching timetable. Ideal candidates will work to achieve the university's strategic aims and maintain strong professional relationships across the division.
The Head of Timetabling, is responsible for the management and development of the university’s timetabling process and all related systems.
The postholder will have oversight and leadership of the Timetabling within Academic Services which is primarily responsible for the production and management of the student teaching timetable.
This is a strategic role within the university, the post holder will be the Head of Profession for Timetabling within the university, working at high level to deliver City’s strategic aims alongside complex and changing working practices.
Working with the Academic Registrar, to provide strategic leadership for the Timetabling Team;
As a member of the Academic Services Leadership Team, provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Academic Services Division. This includes input into Divisional budget bids and five-year plan, ensuring strategic initiatives are developed consistently across the whole Division, and making collective decisions on the future priorities and directions of all services, within the remit of Academic Services at City St George’s University;
To build and maintain a strong professional relationship with the existing Heads in the Academic Services Division to ensure the effective and successful operation of the Division;
To represent the Division on working groups, task-and-finish groups, and committees and, where appropriate, chair and lead groups in the postholder’s areas of responsibility;
To provide an excellent service for students.
