Full accountability for the creation and execution of the global site trading strategy and to drive a strong brand experience, revenue and ultimately business growth
Lead the website calendar and roadmap to drive improvement of customer experience through discovery, curation, digital experiences and best in class digital services. You will work cross functionally with almost all areas of the business to capture requirements and bring together for a cohesive delivery plan.
Align with Buying and Merchandising to ensure the website and app embod ies the POV of MR PORTER customers through brand adjacencies, investments and creative direction
Manage the relationships between your team and respective buying , marketing and sales teams to ensure all areas are informed and aligned on brand direction to drive sell through and inspire customers
Full accountability for trading performance across all channels and platforms, partnering with channel managers to shape entry points and define new opportunities to acquire & retain customers
Full accountability for weekly and quarterly country, region and channel total website performance reports and present at various performance & t rade meetings to provide insights and recommendations.
Partner with the Merchandising/commercial team to set out a promotional calendar that drives profitable results and regional relevance to meet targets
Lead Mr Porter requirements for all digital o ptimisation on short- and long-term roadmap development to shape and improve the customer journey and experience on site, as well as improve team tooling
Elevate the analytical skillsets of the team through best-in-class end to end reporting of the customer behaviour on site to always improve our influence and their experiences over their session
Lead customer profile reporting for on-site behaviour to complement Analytics & Insights with session and browse trends, entry points and hot spots on site to set benchmarks for site KPIs such as ATB, session duration, PDPs per session, sessions to purchase across top brands and devices
Have an awareness of upstream and downstream customer journey points to work closely with other departments that may have an impact on your key metrics
Lead the Upload Manager to provide in depth reporting on product catalogue performance through newness, driving sell through and key launches to hit benchmarks and engage top tier customers , help engage 360 business activity to continually drive improvement
Gain and maintain strong knowledge of market trends in ecommerce capabilities including customer insights, search and merchandising algorithms, personalisation and apps
Lead, nurture and develop a highly motivated, energised and focused website trading team, with a mandate to innovate the digital experience and find new ways to embody our brand and service to the shopping journey Direct leadership of a team of 1 2+ across site merchandising, upload and catalogue management and content - o wning the budget, headcount, team structure and recruitment
Own the yearly strategy with quarterly objectives for the team ensuring that these objectives are filtered down through all levels to enable successful execution.
Support, mentor and lead the team, ensuring that their work is reflective of our market leadership and product assortment, challenging themselves in performance and value add
The type of person we are looking for:
Strong commercial experience and acumen, with a strong track record in revenue engagement and performance
Interest in luxury menswear; e xtremely customer focussed and fluent in the motivations of the luxury menswear consumer
P revious experience within digital commerce and growth of the channel strategically and tactically.
Ability to intrinsically understand and drive the behaviours required within a trading environment.
Strong analytical skills , c ommercial acumen and insight
Experience of working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities.
