Overview

We are looking for a Head of Service to lead the Children in Care Service where you will join our Children in Care leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Children in Care Service and contribute to the Children in Care leadership team.
  • Lead to deliver outstanding services for children and families and ensure effective delivery by managers and workers.
  • Develop partnerships and maintain relationships with key partners to understand and fulfil corporate parenting responsibilities for young people.
  • Drive continuous improvement, champion service user involvement, and explore opportunities and innovations to improve outcomes for young people.
  • Support and empower young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Interviews will take place on 6 October.

About you
  • You will need to have an understanding of how to include service users, partners and staff in achieving an outstanding service.
  • You will need to be able to think ahead, scan opportunities and innovations to improve outcomes for young people, while ensuring managers and workers deliver good practice.
  • You will have the skills to build relationships with key partners to understand and fulfil corporate parenting responsibilities for our young people.
