Head of Security and Endpoint Management

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to take on the role of Head ofTechnology Services, Security and Endpoint Management.This pivotal position sits within Innovates Technology Directorate and isresponsible for delivering enterprise-class endpoint and security managementservices across four healthcare organisations in Warwickshire and thesurrounding areas. The role oversees a significant digital estate of over 14,000devices and a user base of more than 12,500 staff.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full endpoint lifecycle, from build and deployment through to retirement.
  • Deliver robust, secure, and resilient endpoint security services, infrastructure, and systems.
  • Implement and mature a zero-touch device provisioning model supported by high-quality user self-service.
  • Grow and develop the Security and Endpoint team to support all Innovate customers, networks, and devices.
  • Increase the use of automation across endpoint deployment processes and cyber-incident response.

Job responsibilities

Lead the delivery of cybersecurity systems, infrastructure, and services for all Innovate customers andstakeholders.

Manage customer endpointservices throughout their lifecycle.

Achieve and maintain oursecurity certifications e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus, whilst considering futurestandards like NCSC CAF

Contribute to the specification,design, development, and implementation of our technology strategy to supportInnovate and its customers.

Lead,motivate, and develop a team of technical specialists to ensure Innovate hasthe right skills for current and future technology platforms.

Maintainhands-on knowledge and skills in cybersecurity systems, infrastructure,services, and next-generation technologies.

Developexpertise in a range of endpoint devices, considering diverse customer needs.

Ensuresecure, integrated Network Access Control across Acute, Out of Hospital, andPrimary Care sectors.

Identify,manage, and mitigate risks associated with technology platforms and services.

Collaboratewith the technology team and wider business to agree on the design andimplementation of a holistic process of continual service improvement

Manageand develop relationships with third party suppliers

Drive the Security and Endpointtechnology team to excel in a dynamic environment, aiming to maximise theircontribution to tasks and resource commitments.

Ensure that service improvementand excellence are seamlessly incorporated into our organisational culture.

Comprehensive endpoint management, including but notlimited to pre-order activities, build, deployment, maintenance, anddisposal, with an emphasis on zero-touch deployment.

Complete cybersecurity management to ensure thesecurity of customers, endpoints, networks, and services, which includesendpoint patching health, vulnerability scanning, and extensive anti-malwaresystems, processes, and services.

Administration of immutable backup servers andservices, encompassing capacity management and systematic testing.

Management of extensive endpoint replenishmentprograms.

Daily leadership and management of the Security andEndpoint team responsible for delivering technology and infrastructureplatforms to Innovate and its customers.

Person Specification
What we are looking for in our people
  • Extensive and proven experience in leading teams of technology specialists
  • Broad exposure to technology security and system management platforms on an enterprise scale
  • Significant experience with automated software, mobile, and OS delivery platforms at an enterprise level
  • A commitment to excellence in service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop, inspire, and motivate teams of technology specialists
  • The postholder must be able to travel between sites and to customer sites, we anticipate this will mean holding a full UK driving licence and having access to your own transport.
