Overview

Join a market-leading dealer in heavy construction machinery and shape our future sales strategy across the West Midlands, Shropshire & Herefordshire counties. You’ll be driving growth, leading a sales team, and representing top global brands like Develon, Manitou, and Mecalac.

We are T H White Construction and have been serving our customers across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and North Somerset for over 40 years. Our range of construction plant and machinery equipment covers new and used excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks and telehandlers.

We’re recruiting a Senior Sales Manager / Area Sales leader who is excited to take the helm at a senior level, but also remain hands on with a responsibility for their own territory.

There’s a great deal of variety with a blend of hands-on sales, divisional leadership and strategic decision making.

Hours 39 hours per week. Flexibility is required with regards to start and finish times to support both colleagues and customers across our sales territory, and other location in Marlborough if required.

Applicants must be able to work out of our Stourport divisional head office 2 days per week, (DY13 9QB).

Key Duties Will Include

You'll be responsible for driving our overall construction revenue, shaping team performance, and strengthening our market presence. Responsibilities include:

  • Selling new and used heavy construction machinery in your own assigned territory.
  • Leading, coaching and supporting a team of three territory sales reps across two sites.
  • Developing and delivering strategic sales plans tailored to local market potential.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
  • Building long-term customer relationships through trust and outstanding customer service.
  • Planning a consistent strategy for commercial success.
The Ideal Applicant
  • A proven track-record in territory sales, as a Senior Sales Manager/ Area Sales Manager - selling construction machinery such as excavators, dumpers, loaders etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with success in motivating, supporting and developing sales professionals in your team.
  • Commercially astute, data-driven, and confident in strategic decision-making and pricing.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence.
  • The desire to manage a team, whilst developing and selling in your own sales territory.
  • A full UK driving Licence and willingness to be present at the divisional head office in Stourport (DY13 9QB) two days per week.
