Head of Sales – Lead the Global Growth of Apella

Apella is the newly rebranded face of MeetMatch B.V., a patented, AI-powered event networking platform trusted by organisations such as Informa, the European Commission, Bristol Myers Squibb, and DHL. For over a decade, the technology has quietly delivered extraordinary results, and now, under new ownership by ABM Alliance, Apella is launching with bold ambitions to become the category-defining leader in AI-powered networking.

We are seeking a Director of Worldwide Sales – a proven sales leader with global vision, GTM expertise, and the charisma to be both strategist and spokesperson. You’ll design the playbook, lead the charge, and represent Apella on the world stage as we scale into new markets.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop and own Apella’s global GTM and sales strategy.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a world-class sales team across regions.
  • Drive enterprise-level growth through direct engagements with C-level stakeholders, associations, and Fortune 500s.
  • Act as lead spokesperson at events, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Forge strategic partnerships that amplify reach and revenue.
  • Work hand-in-hand with product and marketing to align market needs with innovation.
What we’re looking for:
  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS or event technology sales, with significant leadership experience.
  • Proven success in creating and executing GTM strategies that deliver multi-million revenue growth.
  • Charismatic and confident communicator – comfortable on stage, with press, and in boardrooms.
  • Strong international network within event tech, SaaS, or adjacent industries.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - thrives in high-growth, high-visibility environments.
  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing global sales teams.
Package:
  • Competitive base salary - £60k - £70k starting
  • Uncapped commission structure with OTE scaling significantly as global revenues grow. Circa £150k+
