Contract type:Full‑Time, permanent.

The Head of Pre‑Sales is responsible for leading and managing the pre‑sales function, ensuring alignment with sales, product, and delivery teams to drive revenue growth. This role involves developing solution strategies, managing a team of solution consultants and product experts and engaging with clients to understand their business needs and demonstrate how the company’s solutions deliver value.

Your role involves providing strategic direction, mentoring, and ensuring the team’s alignment with the SBS’s sales objectives. This position requires the ability to work cross‑functionally with the sales and product teams.

What will the role involve?
Team Leadership and Management
  • Recruiting, coaching, and mentoring a team of high‑performing presales consultants.
  • Setting performance standards, conducting performance reviews, and managing the team’s workflow.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them improve their skills and product knowledge.
  • Fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Presales Strategy Planning and Execution
  • Developing and implementing presales strategies that align with SBS’s goals and client needs.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to identify potential clients and develop strategies to engage them effectively.
  • Enabling strong pre‑sales collateral, whether it is customer‑winning demos or presentations, or just building relationships to understand the need.
  • Providing technical and product expertise during sales meetings with prospects and existing customers.
  • Addressing customer concerns and objections, working to overcome barriers to closing deals.
  • Coordinating with proposal management teams to ensure all proposals and responses to RFPs accurately represent SBS’s capabilities and strengths.
Market and Product Knowledge
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, market changes, and the company’s products or solutions to ensure presales strategies remain competitive.
  • Ensuring the presales team is knowledgeable about the latest product developments.
  • Maintain accurate records of presales activities, including customer interactions and progress.
  • Generate reports on team performance, customer feedback, and sales funnel metrics.
  • Regularly review and improve presales processes. This could include implementing new tools or refining existing processes to enhance the efficiency of presales activities.
  • Gathering and providing feedback to product development teams based on customer and market insights.
What are we looking for?
  • In-depth knowledge of the software industry and the competitive landscape, including knowledge of the latest trends and technologies
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities
  • Experience in RFP’s and RFI’s, POCs
  • Experience working with global customers
  • Fluency in English is essential; French language skills are highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at working with multiple stakeholders
  • Good technology background and knowledge of system and application design
  • Proficiency in using CRM and sales tools
