An organization in the education sector is seeking a Head of Payroll, Pensions & Systems for a 12-month FTC. The successful candidate will oversee payroll and pensions operations for both permanent and casual staff, provide expertise on payroll/pension issues, and manage a small team. Experience in managing payroll functions within medium or large organizations is required, with iTrent experience being essential. The position offers hybrid working, a 35-hour week, and generous annual leave.
We are pleased to be supporting an organisation in the education sector who are currently recruiting for a Head of Payroll, Pensions & Systems to join them on a 12 month FTC basis. Reporting into the Director of Finance this role will be responsible for managing a small team.
Responsibilities include :
Overseeing the payroll & pensions operations for permanent and casual staff
Provide expertise on payroll & pension issues
Administration of four pension schemes
Advise senior management on pension scheme developments
Maintain, update & create salary scales on the HR & Payroll system
Day to day management and supervision of the payroll team
Experience required :
Expeirence of managing a payroll function within a medium or large sized organisation
Excellent people management & leadership skills
iTrent experience is essential
Extensive pension experience, ideally with the following schemes : SAUL, USS, NHSSS
Experience in Higher Education or NHS is desirable
Hybrid working
