Overview

Are you a proven operational leader with experience delivering large, complex engineered products within a low-volume manufacturing environment? This international manufacturing business with a full scale production operation in the West Midlands is seeking an ambitious Head of Operations to join the business. With accountability for driving operational excellence and improvements with a particular focus on production, this role is a great opportunity to take a senior lead in a business growing significantly and with a strong order book in place for 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly into the MD, you will take full ownership of day-to-day operational performance, with accountability across Production, Operations, Planning, Maintenance, Quality & Compliance and Procurement & Supply Chain.
  • Driving continuous improvement and implementing scalable processes to maximimise efficiencies around production and broader operations within a specialist manufacturing business.
  • Implement and embed robust planning, scheduling and resource management processes.
  • Drive operational excellence and lean initiatives and ensure that projects are delivered on time, safely and to specifications.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships and optimise procurement performance.
  • Report performance and drive KPI accountability across operations.
