Head of Marketing (Lighting / Building Products)

£60,000 + benefits | Hybrid (Midlands preferred) | 40 hours

A growing UK lighting manufacturer is seeking a senior marketing professional to take full ownership of the marketing function. The company is aiming to reduce agency spend, strengthen brand presence, drive digital engagement and professionalise its entire marketing approach. This is a senior role offering autonomy, influence and clear progression potential as the business grows from £18m to £40m turnover within the next few years.

You will work closely with the Product & Marketing Director and cross-functional teams, taking responsibility for campaign planning, brand management, digital channels, content creation, sales support, events and marketing performance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing annual and quarterly marketing plans
  • Delivering integrated campaigns that support brand, product and sales objectives
  • Bringing marketing delivery in-house using internal resource and AI tools
  • Managing digital channels including social media, SEO and website content
  • Creating catalogues, brochures, case studies, vertical-market content and PR
  • Supporting product launches and producing tailored sales collateral
  • Coordinating exhibitions, CPDs and other events
  • Collaborating with sales and strategic customer marketing teams
  • Monitoring competitor activity and performance data
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all marketing output
Skills and experience required
  • 3-5+ years in a marketing role, ideally B2B
  • Strong digital marketing capability
  • Proven experience supporting sales teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage upwards and lead strategy confidently
  • Creative and hands‑on approach to content and delivery
  • Confidence using AI‑powered marketing tools or willingness to adopt them
  • Experience in lighting, electrical, building products or plumbing is highly advantageous
  • Midlands‑based preferred with hybrid working available
