A prominent regional healthcare provider is seeking a Head of Learning and Development / Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to enhance educational strategies and professional development within the Trust. The Head of Learning and Development / Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) will work as a senior member of the Education, Learning and Development Department. They will be responsible for the organisation's analysis of learning and development educational needs, and planning delivery effectively and efficiently through a strategic training needs analysis and evaluation process, including the review of needs identified as part of the appraisal process.
The post holder will provide expert advice and leadership in relation to advanced practice, advanced practitioner roles, enhanced practitioner roles and associated education and training.
The post holder will support the Director of Education, Learning and Development to develop and deliver the Trust's education strategy taking account of national, regional and local policies and direction.
They will be responsible for planning activities that inform continued professional development priorities to ensure that the Trust's workforce development needs are met with a multi-professional approach.
The post holder will actively work with other members of the Department to implement effective engagement with schools, colleges, job centres and other potential apprentice, T Level, and work experience pathways.
They will provide expert knowledge in relation to advanced clinical practice to the senior team and co‑ordinate development programmes, training events and a supervisory framework to support trainees.

The post holder will co‑ordinate and actively participate in all communications regarding advancing practice with NHSE, National Centre for Advancing Practice and HEIs, ensuring that the advanced practice domains, pillars and strategies are aligned to improve both quantity and quality of advanced practice workforce within EPUT to deliver on the health outcomes for the population we serve.
