About The Role

We are excited to hire our first Head of Finance who will lead Aspora's financial strategy and operations as we scale internationally. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role that reports directly to the CEO, with a fast-track path to CFO in 12-18 months.

You'll be building the finance function from the ground up; setting up infrastructure, driving strategic finance, leading capital raising, and managing multi-country financial compliance in a regulated fintech environment.

• Lead FP&A & Strategy: Drive forecasting, budgeting, business modelling, and capital allocation across all business lines.
• Build Global Finance Infrastructure: Set up systems, controls, and policies across the UK, UAE, India, and beyond.
• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Manage equity and debt raises, investor communications, and data room ownership.
• Treasury & Capital Efficiency: Oversee real-time fund flows, FX exposure, and cross-border treasury operations.
• Regulatory & Audit: Own multi-jurisdictional audits, tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulator relationships.
• Team Building: Hire and lead a lean, world-class finance team with scalable processes and automation.
• Qualifications: ACA / ACCA / CA / CPA qualified or qualified by experience (CFA or MBA a plus).
• Experience: 8+ years, including 3+ years in a senior finance role, with a background in fintech, payments, digital banking, or remittance.
• Proven track record of building finance functions from scratch in high-growth environments.
• Exceptional communication skills, comfortable engaging with executives, auditors, and regulators.
• Strong technical skills, including SQL.
• Strategic, hands-on, and fast executor with a big-picture mindset.
• Confident in complex, regulated environments.
• Analytical, tech-savvy, with a bias for automation.
• Ownership-driven, passionate about building scalable systems.
• Collaborative, direct, curious-like the rest of the Aspora team.
• Preferred experience in fintech or wallet-based businesses, exposure to digital banking, and relationships with auditors, VCs, or regulators in fintech.
