Job Overview

SF Executive is partnered with a private equity backed, manufacturing business that is seeking a Head of Finance (HOF). You will report to Chief Operations Officer (COO) and have a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The HOF will drive a strong finance agenda across the operations parts of the business and will ensure the adequacy of systems and controls and adopt a rigorous data driven approach to information management, ensuring the business has the right data and insights to make optimal decisions in line with its operations strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Support the COO in operations strategy and recognising that one of the key ways that the organisation captures value, is through superior cost management and service delivery
  • Oversee weekly and monthly operations financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness and which are action-oriented
  • Work with the business to ensure that the appropriate KPIs are monitored and reviewed alongside a robust reporting drumbeat
  • Responsible for supporting the operations leadership team in the budget and forecasting process covering operations, supply chain and procurement
  • Provide value-added business partnering, by moving through the cycle of providing data to providing action-oriented insights that help transform the business
  • Support COO in achieving their organisational goals and ensuring that the operations organisation is making data-driven decisions
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operations risks facing the organisation
  • Ensure full understanding of cost drivers and to highlight/advise stakeholders on key variances and how to capitalise/correct on trends
  • Own product costing within the business by establishing clear, transparent ways of establishing a fully loaded costs onto each customer/sku combination, which will allow the business to make data driven decisions
  • Design, develop and own cost-to-serve model. Use the data within the cost-to-serve model, work with the business to optimise its cost to serve based on strategic goals
Qualifications

The successful HOF will be a qualified (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) and experienced finance lead. You will have worked within a manufacturing environment and you will have ideally been exposed to the pace of private equity backed business.

Work Arrangement

This role is being offered on a hybrid basis. The expectation is to work 4 days from site with a flexible day from home.
