Head of Finance

An established organisation in the West Midlands is seeking a dynamic Head of Finance to join its leadership team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this role will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring continued success and compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead a small finance team, manage all financial operations, and provide clear, insightful reporting to senior management and trustees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including cash flow, risk management and compliance.

  • Partner with senior leaders and trustees, providing financial insight and recommendations. Presenting to the board at monthly meetings.

  • Manage the annual budget process and deliver accurate management and statutory accounts.

  • Ensure robust internal controls and policies are in place.

  • Drive continuous improvement within the finance team.

About You
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA).

  • Experienced finance leader with proven success in strategic planning and financial management.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation and regulatory requirements.

  • Skilled communicator, able to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative leader.

  • Knowledge of Xero and HR systems is desirable.
