Were looking for an inspiring and driven Head of Facilities Services to join our Facilities Team, with responsibility for a wide range of essential services, including:

  • Waste & Environmental Services
  • Domestic Services
  • Linen and Laundry
  • Portering
  • Switchboard
  • Postal Services
  • Accommodation Services

In this key leadership role, youll manage both the people and resources that power these vital operations, ensuring services are efficient, responsive, and delivered to the highest standard. Youll oversee an annual budget spanning across multiple core services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong operational and financial management skills, a passion for service improvement, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job duties / Responsibilities

This role plays a vital part in shaping the patient and staff experience by ensuring services like cleaning, catering, portering, switchboard, and accommodation are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Youll manage multi-functional teams, oversee supplier contracts, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and take ownership of performance, budgets, and service improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills are key, along with the ability to work across departments and respond to the needs of both patients and staff.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Knowledge to Masters equivalent plus further management experience.
  • B TEC Infection Control
  • Understanding of Manual Handling
  • Experience of recruitment process.

  • Possession of a suitable qualification within cleaning
  • Diploma in management
  • Food Hygiene qualification
  • Awareness of COSHH
  • Experience of Risk Assessments

Knowledge

  • Significant experience of managing multiple Facilities services within Hospital environment or similar related environment
