Job description

London, Bath or Cornwall with regular travel across the whole estate

The Duchy of Cornwall is a dynamic future-focused landed estate dedicated to creating positive impact for people, places and the planet. We’re passionate about creating transformative change for the communities we serve by building healthy, environmentally sustainable communities and supporting a thriving planet to build a better future together.

We’re looking for an experienced environmental leader to guide the Duchy’s strategy for creating positive environmental impact. Reporting to the Executive Director for Purpose, you will champion our environmental ambitions, lead the delivery of our net zero and nature-rich objectives, and work collaboratively across teams to embed environmental excellence throughout the organisation.

You’ll play a key role in overseeing how we monitor and improve our environmental performance, identify risks and opportunities, and work with various partners (including The Earthshot Prize) to explore innovative solutions. You’ll develop initiatives that engage tenants and suppliers on issues such as water, pollution and the circular economy, while building strong external partnerships to advance our goals and strengthen our reputation. You will ensure we have access to expert advice, provide high-quality data to support decision-making, and collaborate with leaders across the Duchy to integrate environmental priorities into everything we do.

To succeed, you’ll bring significant sustainability leadership experience, a deep understanding of nature and climate issues, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive meaningful organisational change. You will be proactive, collaborative and skilled at building relationships, while supporting and developing colleagues along the way.

So, if you're a forward-thinking environmental leader who’s ready to make a real and lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you! To apply, please visit our careers page.

Closing date: 12th January 2026.

We conduct first interviews on Teams and second interviews in person.
