What You’ll Be Doing

As our Head of HSE, you’ll:

  • Shape and execute the HSE vision, aligning it with business goals and championing safety at every level of the organisation.
  • Influence senior leaders and represent HSE at executive level discussions.
  • Ensure full legal compliance with UK and ROI safety and environmental legislation, including oversight of audits and inspections.
  • Lead cultural transformation, embedding proactive safety behaviours and continuous improvement practices across all teams.
  • Oversee environmental impact, driving initiatives on waste reduction, carbon footprint, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coach, guide, and train all levels of the business, fostering a high-performing, risk-aware workforce.
  • Be the voice of calm in a crisis, managing emergency response and ensuring readiness across all locations.

What We’re Looking For

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Strong track record in a senior HSE role, ideally in high-risk or multi-site operations
  • Deep knowledge of UK and ROI HSE legislation
  • Experience managing HSE systems and driving behavioural change
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and influencing skills
  • Proven expertise in incident investigation and risk mitigation
  • Background in manufacturing, logistics, or retail
  • Experience delivering culture change or behavioural safety programmes
