Overview

Mossbourne Port Side Academy seeks a Head of Department – History. This role is part of the Mossbourne Federation, a network of seven academies that provide outstanding education to the children of Hackney and Thurrock. The successful candidate will be passionate about history education, have the drive and ambition to lead and manage a department, and will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). They will bring a proven track record of successful teaching across different key stages and a belief that all students can succeed in history. Excellent knowledge of GCSE History and the ability to teach another subject in the Learning Area as part of their timetable are required.
