Job summary

A leading global Human Services provider is seeking a Head of Cyber in Birmingham. This role requires end-to-end cybersecurity accountability for UK, Europe, and South Korea, ensuring compliance with various frameworks. Head of Cyber

Overview

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to have end-to‑end Cyber accountability for our growing regional businesses across the UK and Europe, whilst also collaborating at a global group agenda. This role will report directly to the Chief Information Officer for Ingeus in the UK, working with our Group CISO to support the global cyber agenda across the APM group.

This is a critical and strategically important role to our EMEA businesses, and the APM group as you will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day security information operations of a diverse set of businesses across UK, Europe and South Korea. You will also be part of the Ingeus senior leadership team and be a key player embedded into our parent company, APM Group. This role will allow the individual to collaborate and advise stakeholders across our organisation to ensure we are compliant and secure in all cyber commitments and requirements.

This position will also support the CISO with implementing and running APM Group's information security program and have direct responsibility for UK and Europe Cyber controls, and associated strategy where different to our wider group.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for Cyber security compliance and operations for UK, Europe, and South Korea directly.
  • Own the Cyber strategy for UK, Europe, and South Korea where it needs to differentiate regionally, supporting the organisation's ambitions and performance.
  • Supporting the Group CISO in the development and maintenance of the information security vision and strategy that aligns to organisational strategies, emerging threats, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of the information security program to ensure appropriate levels of confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy, and recovery of information assets.
  • Manage cyber enterprise architecture and policy.
  • Manage security incidents and events to protect corporate IT assets, intellectual property, and regulated data as well as take appropriate action to define and implement root cause findings from incidents.
  • Support the implementation of information security management system, security awareness and training framework, associated governance processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, and report on legal and regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity risk to information assets and support processes for information security risk and for legal and regulatory assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Ingeus compliance, operational, legal and IT teams to improve Cyber Security posture and compliance readiness activities.
Qualifications
  • Significant leadership experience and success in a similar role leading ICT / cyber security.
  • Experience implementing the NIST Cyber Framework.
  • Demonstrable evidence of working with Cyber Essentials+, ISO27001, GDPR, EMEA and UK compliance frameworks, and managing heavily regulated data across UK and Europe.
  • Sound knowledge of business management and working knowledge of information security risk management and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Demonstrated representation, stakeholder management and client service skills and experience with evidence of highly effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with and influence people at all levels.
  • Resilience and capacity to handle uncertainty, change and ambiguity in the formulation, integration, and implementation of information security strategies.
