Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to work on a full-time basis. Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays.

Key Competencies and Duties include:
  • To ensure that the menus on offer satisfy customer needs and market trend
  • Provide clear direction and set high standards and expectations, encouraging a customer-focused attitude at all times
  • To recognise the importance of teamwork and group dynamics, building and maintaining effective working relationships within the team
  • To adopt a positive and flexible attitude to changing priorities and procedures, including shift changes etc.
  • To ensure that effective communication takes place throughout the team
  • Prioritise and delegate work within the kitchen team, continually looking for ways of improving the overall effectiveness of the team
  • To comply with current Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and Company Health and Safety policy including COSHH and food handling procedures
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience at Sous-Chef level
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices.
  • Team player with a flexible and professional attitude.
