Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our clinical team on a Bank basis; someone with excellent communication skills, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.

The salary for this role is £12.75 - £13.20 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, plus an additional 12.07% to cover holiday allowances.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with our well established clinical team to help provide clinical care and manage acute demand, seeing patients with a variety of conditions.

Our practice spans three sites across Milton Keynes, so the successful applicant will need their own transport.

Job responsibilities
  • New patient health checks
  • ECG recording
  • Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
  • Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
  • Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
  • Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
  • Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
  • Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
  • Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
  • Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
Experience
  • Experience working as an HCA in Primary Care
