Position Summary

This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional level of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation across all guest rooms and related areas. The Guest Room Attendant ensures that rooms are prepared to brand standards, well-stocked, and ready on time for guest arrivals. The position plays a key part in creating a welcoming environment by maintaining high hygiene standards, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and supporting the overall housekeeping operation. A strong eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to guest satisfaction are essential.

  • Clean, tidy, and service guest rooms to brand standards, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and corridors.
  • Make beds, change linen, replenish amenities, and restock trolleys throughout the day.
  • Perform deep-clean tasks as scheduled (e.g., carpets, vents, curtains, furniture).
  • Follow COSHH procedures and handle chemicals safely.
  • Use PPE correctly and report any hazards, risks, or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Adhere to all fire, security, and health & safety guidelines.
  • Addressing guests’ service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Assisting other associates to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
  • Attitude, grooming standard, body language and tone need to be positive, supportive and on brand at all times.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of all areas at all times.
  • Carrying out other duties that may be required to ensure the overall hotel operation is properly maintained to provide a total guest experience.
  • Provide friendly, discreet, and professional service when encountering guests.
  • Always respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, communicating through supervisors where necessary.
  • Report room status accurately to supervisors or through the housekeeping system
  • Handle lost‑and‑found items according to hotel policy.
  • Keep equipment clean, stored correctly, and report any faults.
  • Ensure trolleys, cupboards, and storage areas remain organised and fully stocked.
  • Support laundry processes when required, including sorting and transporting linen.
