You will resolve technical accounting issues, ensure compliance with IFRS, and produce audit committee papers. Group Technical Accounting Senior Manager – Derby – Full-Time
Job Summary / Purpose: As a senior manager, with highly developed technical finance and professional skills, you will work with colleagues within the team and across the global business to ensure that accounting issues are addressed in a timely manner and that financial accounting matters are considered in commercial transactions. This will ensure that the Group’s financial statements are clear and compliant with accounting standards. This role supports the leadership of the finance function, providing the Director of Group Financial Control & Tax, Group CFO, Group Audit Committee and auditors with confidence over the integrity of key accounting judgements and the Group’s financial reporting. This is one of three Group Technical Accounting Senior Manager roles reporting into the Group Head of Technical Accounting, who reports to the Director of Group Financial Control & Tax.

Also required: a professional accountancy qualification with deep IFRS experience; external audit background is preferable. Strong technical accounting experience applying standards to complex transactions; ability to identify practical, technically sound solutions; track record of delivering within timescales with clear stakeholder communication; ability to summarize complex issues clearly; resilience, problem-solving and good judgment; excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.
