About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Group Marketing Director (Interim Maternity Cover) to spearhead a major brand transformation and provide strong leadership during an exciting period of change. This fixed-term role will be pivotal in managing the rollout of a new brand name and group identity across internal and external audiences. The role will also lead and support the existing marketing team, ensuring continuity and momentum across all marketing and communications activities.

Responsibilities
  • Brand Rollout & Strategic Projects
    • Lead the execution of the new brand identity across all business units, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals.
    • Manage internal and external communications related to the rebrand, including stakeholder engagement, launch events, and brand training.
    • Oversee the update of all brand assets, digital platforms, and marketing collateral.
    • Embed the new brand across all business units to create an integrated identity within our group of companies.
  • Team Leadership & Operational Oversight
    • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the marketing team in the UK, along with assistance to the wider marketing teams.
    • Ensure continuity of ongoing campaigns, digital content, and events. Ensure alignment to our new tone of voice, brand strategy and value proposition.
    • Maintain oversight of the marketing budget and brand project budget, ensuring effective spend and ROI tracking.
  • Internal & External Communications
    • Drive employee engagement and brand advocacy through clear, consistent internal communications.
    • Manage external communications, including media relations, PR, and crisis communications.
  • Digital & Campaign Management
    • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website updates, social media, and marketing automation and its alignment to the new brand identity.
    • Support the planning and delivery of sector-specific campaigns and key events.
  • Campaigns & Events
    • Plan and execute strategic marketing campaigns across sectors and regions, working closely with commercial and sales teams.
    • Direct the delivery of corporate and customer events, trade shows, and conferences, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial goals.
Qualifications
  • Essential:
    • Demonstrable experience in a similar leadership marketing role with a proven track record in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
    • Experience leading and developing a high-performing marketing team, including people management, coaching/mentoring and/or people development.
    • Experience managing a budget, including invoice tracking and budgeting for future years.
    • Computer literate, including MS Office, Canva and ideally some video editing experience.
    • Expertise in corporate communications, digital marketing, and campaign management.
    • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at board and executive levels.
    • Commercially astute and results-driven.
    • A full UK driving licence with ability and willingness to travel within the UK on a regular basis, and internationally from time to time.
    • Ability and willingness to travel for exhibitions across the UK and stay for the duration of that event.
  • Desirable:
    • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; professional marketing qualifications (e.g., CIM) preferred.
    • Experience in post-acquisition brand integration is highly desirable.
